Hello. I would like to head over to the northwestern and western part of the peninsula on Friday at 6:30ish for a few hours. I'll be coming from the Travel Inn at 2230 Lombard Street, which isn't exactly around the corner. Do you recommend biking or driving? My hunch is that driving will be easier (just drive to one parking lot, get out, get in, and go to the next one and repeat). But I'm concerned that I'll get stuck in traffic.

Thanks for the tips.

Definitely drive, but try to avoid the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge. Traffic in these parts of the city isn't bad, and it would take you forever to get anywhere by bike, and you would be dealing with big hills.

I wouldn't expect a lot of traffic out there in those evening hours.

Glad I drove. I would not have made it on a bike. Too far, from 2230 Lombard, not any bike lanes, and too many hills. Thanks.
