San Francisco and the Bay Area in general are well known for it's liberal environment. But are there some liberal things about the area that you disagree with?

I disagree with almost all of it, but I'm a libertarian so I am used to it.

I disagree with 99% of things in California. Leaning more to the right than left in the Bay Area, I expected it though.

Move to Kansas or Alabama if you want a libertarian paradise.

What I disagree with is not classical liberalism.

What I disagree with is something different. It is a more recent set of values, which are sort of the children or grandchildren of some of the New Left ideas from mid last century. I would actually go as far as labeling these values as millenarian. Such values are not the province of a single faction. For example, the Extreme Greens embrace a subset of such values. Certain (but DEFINITELY not all) LGBTQ activists embrace a subset. And so on.

This is all very different from the "we support the common people" values of classical liberalism.

Would hardly call either of those states a "libertarian paradise", especially Alabama. Social conservatism is kind of the opposite of libertarianism.

Could you elaborate on your concept? It sounds really interesting, quite possibly deserving of its own thread, if not here, then under Philosophy or some other sub-forum. What are "extreme Greens"? Does the (now multi-generational) Berkeley City Council, with its refusal to prosecute certain types of crime, fit into this, by any chance? That was actually an outgrowth of the 60's/70's, not Millenarian, though.
