There has been a lot of talk online recently about this street. Supposedly Sausalito officials have told some residents that it is a public street, but some locals have been harassing hikers and vandalizing cars by putting stickers on them. While also posting signs claiming it is a private road and vehicles will be towed.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it a public street or a private road. If it is public why would the city allow people to put up such signs?
