Are there any light art installations still viewable left over from Illuminate? Unfortunately I could make it during the event, but was hoping a few are still around as I can make it out there this month.

I hadn't ever heard of it as a large, varied, and city-wide installation, but I just looked at their website---Looks incredibly cool!! I know the Bay Bridge is no longer lit up though

According to their site under FAQ, it states "many of the installations are permanent". Looks like I should get into the City at night more.

It isn't? I though thought the Bay Lights was a permanent installation.

Well, the lights weren't "on" when I was on the bridge on December 9th. I remember commenting to my husband about it since I had expected to see them. Maybe it was just a fluke or temporary problem?

The bridge lights are on, they raised the additional funding to keep the installation on through 2026.
I see it every night on my way home from work, though I suspect they sometimes have to take it down for maintenance.

Also http://illuminatesf.com/posts/sto/buckyball-embarcadero seem to be back (it was there two weeks) for the holiday season.
