Watch the video below to get a sense of the Capitol Hill neighborhood (Seattle) nightlife scene.

Which SF nightlife neighborhood do you think is most similar to this? Mission? North Beach? Somewhere else?

Did you watch the video? There’s no nightlife neighborhood in Oakland that has that level of sustained street vibrancy and concentration of bars.

The Mission is your best bet. On Valencia Street.

Valencia street is a good choice, but there is a lot more to the Mission than that.

But also:

Polk St, North of Post - in my opinion is the closest to Capitol Hill with the crowd peaking at around 1 am on a weekend
Chestnut St./Union St - Marina/Cow Hollow - don't know exactly how to describe it, the vibe is somewhat bro-friendly, but also somewhat upscale
North Beach - my favorite part is on Grant between Vallejo and Filbert, but plenty of other options around

Less prominent, but with lots of bar hopping opportunities:
Fillmore
Hayes Valley
Haight St (actually two areas - Haight/Ashbury and Lower Haight)
SoMa (more clubs than pubs)

Divisidero.
Valencia/16th St. As someone stated.
Broadway has some good clubs.
Geary St. is more subtle but, they have some good bars.
