You can throw out your choice of statistics, but just by direct observation, the homeless rate is vastly less than LA/SD/SF.
Just because the homeless rate is less than LA/SD/SF does not mean it is not significant in and of itself (and growing) - in fact, Phoenix saw the biggest increase in any city last year. And, it still doesn’t answer the question why you are so hyper-focused on SF or California when the state in which you live has its own (worsening) crisis - especially pertaining to the elderly and veterans.

Because California's disastrous policies that led to homelessness will infect the rest of the country, if for no other reason than NIMBY progressive Californians moving to other states, now that they trashed their home state.

While Tulemutt and others continue to lmao, the homeless pile up under your noses. Go ahead and laugh and point to other cities, but tomorrow, you'll wake up the same train wreck, and come election time, you'll vote in more train wreck again.

Wait - what? So you are stating California caused the homeless epidemic in the entire country? Do we cause mental illness, PTSD in veterans, and drug addiction, too? Now that’s funny.

You forgot homosexuality, technology, and the cost of living. Don't you know? San Francisco is at the root of all evil.

You know what they say about people who live in glass houses, right?

Quote:
According to Maricopa Association of Governments, which released its annual point-in-time count this week, there were 6,614 people experiencing homelessness on the night of Jan. 21 — 316 more than during last year's count.

For the sixth straight year, unsheltered homelessness — people living on the streets, in desert washes, vehicles or another place not meant for habitation — increased.

Unsheltered homelessness used to be a small percentage of the overall homeless population. In 2014, it made up 22 percent of the population. This year, it's nearly 50 percent. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news...lp/1126862001/

PHOENIX — A federal report released Monday showed that homelessness in the Phoenix area is up 12 percent from the previous year.

The report found that 6,300 people are living on the streets in Phoenix, and about two-fifths of those people without homes are in shelters. While Phoenix’s numbers worsened, some other Western cities saw a decrease in homelessness.

The number of people living on the streets in Los Angeles and San Diego, two epicenters of the homelessness crisis, fell this year, suggesting those cities’ efforts to combat the problem could be starting to pay off. In Los Angeles, the count fell by 3 percent after a sharp increase the year before. Peter Lynn, executive director of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, said that can be credited to results of six months of stepped-up homeless services after Los Angeles County voters raised taxes to help in 2017. Report: Homelessness in Phoenix area up 12 percent from last year

Phoenix residents reported 1,500 homeless encampments. See where they are... Since the city started keeping centralized data in late July, residents have reported more than 1,500 encampments to the city.

Although downtown and open spaces, like parks and greenbelts, saw a large number of repeat complaints, residents reported encampments in nearly every corner of the city during the past eight months. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news...es/3410072002/

You all can see now why California is king of the homeless poopness epidemic.
They simply can't handle the reality of what they've put into place.
Desperately seeking to avoid guilt, they blithely ignore the complicity and driving factors their elected party put into place.
It's OK, keep posting articles on Arizona...that might distract you from your own backyard, in just now:

(Number of Homeless People Jumps 12% Across L.A. County to Nearly 59,000)

Interesting...Phoenix and LA are both up 12%, maybe that is a clue that this not a red state/blue state -liberal/conservative problem but rather those Cities are just among the first casualties of what is becoming a nationwide problem?

Phoenix is up 12% and LA County is up 12%, not LA the city. Phoenix is the highest increase for cities.
