By the time it mixes its way to the Bay it will be pathologically inert with regard to biohazard.

And there you go. We don't need expensive wastewater treatment plants around the country. We can simply dump our raw sewage into the street gutters around our homes and rely on "crews using bleach and or other bio-neutral / degradable sanitizers" to flush the sewage down the storm drains. "By the time it mixes its way to the Bay it will be pathologically inert with regard to biohazard." Just like in any other third world country. It's science, don't you know.

Um yeah. ... Except it isn’t. Here’s how it’s done in San Diego.

San Diego has started washing its downtown streets with bleach in an effort to combat an outbreak of hepatitis A ...

... Mike Saag, a professor of medicine at the University of Alabama, Birmingham focused on infectious diseases, tells NPR that he finds San Diego's street washing approach reasonable for stemming the spread of hepatitis A: "If there's a sanitation problem, then the thing to do is clean up the area, and bleach is probably the best disinfectant that we have for this type of viral infection."

You could have confirmed what I posted earlier ... but of course that would have ruined your frantic hyperventilating, hyperbolic ranting I guess. Sorry to shut it down, but I’m concerned you might suffer an aneurism.

Ah, more uninformed hyperbolic ranting. Who ever suggested we didn’t need wastewater treatment plants? ... Hmmm?

And yes, it is science. Comes in handy when solving problems that lie outside conventional infrastructure at times. But then Texans aren’t real fond of science, huh ...

Read the post. It simply repeated what you had said.

No. It didn’t. It said what you creatively, to say the least, paraphrased. Quote where I said we don’t need wastewater treatment plants and should just dump our waste into the streets.

I pointed out that, when sewage occurs on public streets the technique to deal with it is to hose down with bleach to render it inert. This approach suggested and endorsed by public health professionals.

And I pointed this out in response to questioning by another poster as to what will be done with wastewater from street washdowns.
