Ultimately this further accentuates the vast gap between the haves and have-nots in this extremely affluent region-

That we have even 1 homeless person is a crying shame. The fact that we have thousands living on the streets is immoral.

Anyhow, the Bay Area accounted for a full quarter of new billionaires created in the United States last year.

Yeah, but at least it gives “the Angry People” another thing to throw tantrums about on anonymous forums!

Bay Area Roars Past Moscow and London to Become World's 3rd Largest Concentration of Billionaires

Hey, a city of billionaires, and no mafia! Imagine that! No murders by surreptitious poisoning, either. Aren't we on top of the world!

so, what would you like to do about it and what are you doing? Maybe you could open up your house to a few street people? Or do you know some choose to be homeless? It is like the pan handler on the street corner: offer them a meal instead of money and hear all their reasons for not taking the food or the water or whatever.

Why do so many more "choose" that life now, compared to in the 70's, say, though?

Of course not! He's not a greedy billionaire, for heaven's sake.

Instead, he'll engage in recreational outrage on the Internet, all in the name of helping the homeless and the poor. If the situation gets much worse, he may even consider getting a bumper sticker or two.

If they sent homeless who are drunk, high, shooting up, breaking into cars, threatening others to prison, the real innocent homeless population would be much smaller and more manageable to get on the right path forward.

Really? You have figures on backing that up? ... didn’t think so.

Btw: same thing could be said about the general, housed population ... just sayin ... creeps and crooks are just that, whether homeless or not ... crime isn’t unique to the homeless ... just take a look at Wall Street and Washington DC.

But isn’t this thread supposed to be about the Bay Area billionaires?

No but if a working person were to take a crap on the door steps of a neighbor or in front of an apple store, they would be arrested. If they started shooting up in a park, they would be arrested.

Do you have figures to show what I said isn't true? ... didn't think so.

The OP said, "That we have even 1 homeless person is a crying shame. The fact that we have thousands living on the streets is immoral" so don't act like I pulled up homelessness out of the air. The OP's message is basically it's a crying shame SF has the 3rd most billionaires in the world yet it has a homeless problem"
