I am searching for a small-sized studio / one-bedroom rental / guesthouse within/nearby Palo Alto.
The closer to downtown Palo Alto by city hall where workplace is by, the better.
Priorities are short travel time to work, quiet/safe, private entrance/bathroom/kitchen(ette).
Budget is over > $2600.
Any specific nice apartment building complexes recommended (or to avoid)?
Any neighborhoods within Palo Alto and adjacent towns to avoid (noisy, not safe, etc)?
Any other suggestions (other than checking craigslist)?
Thanks in advance.

you can check out http://www.apartmentratings.com/ca/p...50321663394301 I don't know if they have anything available, but it seemed like a nice complex when I was there within a couple of blocks of downtown. I think the building was built in the 1970s. When I was there, the renters tended to be young because Stanford is nearby.
