I think so did Santa Monica, New York City, and Berkeley, and these places have always had very pricey real estate for decades. Doesn't seem to make too much of a difference.

It’s not so much what he wants to do with his money. But he comes off as a very mean/nasty person, wishing ill to a lot of people so he can profit.

Perma lives in Arcata, I don't think this would have effected property values much over there, about 5 hours from SF
