I'm not saying bad stuff linked to the things you said don't exist anywhere else. I'm simply saying San Francisco isn't different when it comes to right and wrong any more so than most cities in the country. There is still plenty of racism, plenty of hate, plenty of bigotry, plenty of silencing others, etc. San Franciscans just think they are unique in that department. I've lived in a lot of places and traveled a lot of the world and San Francisco isn't special in this regard.

What in the world does this have to do with live people, dressing with their private parts poking out of black leather while shaking themselves? The Folsom Street Fair is highly BDSM themed. It's a sexually perverted event geared towards the depraved. Not sure why you cannot grasp this. This is all done in publc, around children. Anyone can joing. Their behavior is akin to animals.

There ought to be a BART line serving the western neighborhoods of SF.
BART is over 40 years old now, it's built extensions in eastern Contra Costa county,
eastern Alameda county, even to the airport down in San Mateo county.
All that construction in the suburbs, but nothing done for SF residents
since the system opened, even though we pay the same BART sales tax
the suburban counties do.
Clearly, BART was intended as a means of funneling suburban commuters
into the Financial District. That's okay, but doing nothing for the SF
constituents is not, not when we help pay for the system,
and a western line would certainly be heavily used.
A number of elections ago, BART board member James Fang broached
the idea of "BART to the beach" (a BART line under Geary Blvd).
Yeah, excellent idea... except that he'd already been on the
BART board for nearly a quarter-century... he could've
tried to do that for his constituents decades earlier.
It was good to see him go down to defeat.
