hi there!!

im coming to Cali in july for a month with 2 other friends. we are going to travel to various places and i was wondering where in San Francisco you would recommend we visit. I know about the more well know spots - but are there any lesser known gems (for the tourist) in San Fran that would be well worth going to see??

Id appreciate any info that you all have!
thanks!

What kind of stuff do you like doing? For instance, are you into the outdoorsy activities, shopping (and what type of shopping), educational/cultural, music, people-watching, animals, scenic drives, amusement parks & recreation, etc? I ask because there is SO much to recommend here, it would help to narrow things down a bit.

One thing I will tell you, however, is to bring appropriately warm clothing... tourists often expect our summers to be hot (since we're part of "sunny California"), and end up having to buy sweatshirts and pants when they arrive. Especially in July-August, the weather can be very unpredictable, ranging from warm and sunny to COLD and foggy. Be prepared with layers!!

Default Visiting SFO in May

Hi, I will be visiting SFO during memorial day weekend with my husband and 4 year old. It will be our first time too! We would like to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium.. and we looked up tour packages , there was one with Gotobus. Is anyone aware if they offer good services? Will it be worth taking the trip with Gotobus ,, its a 11 hour tour, they take us to Monterey bay, aquarium, carmel and also the 17 mile scenic drive.

Don't call it Cali or Frisco while you're there.

Touring company named Gotobus???? To SVSeattle

In regards to a touring company named Gotobus, I personally never heard of it. I looked on the internet and could not find that name anywhere. Globus is a great company but be careful and maybe you should check them out. Next time, check with Trip Advisor concerning tours, hotels, restaurants or whatever. They will give you a feed back on what people think of that company you signed up for. But do be careful. Check them out before you get on that bus. Good luck.
