Well baseball is one of them things that a womans insight isnt always correct. It is not that I am too proud, its that I cant let my buddies down. They took me in as an outsider into their coveted group (the regulars at every game), to go sit in some hoity toity seats with snobs who usually cant name 3 pitchers on the roster, would be a spit in the face to them; they who live and bleed oakland A's. I know to most people its funny, but to us this is No Joke, this s*** is real. When boston fans or yankee fans come to our stadium and try to make noise, its us who usually have to shut them up by throwing beers, garbage, and fists, what ever it takes. I would never leave my buddys behind like that, I love them.

Let'sgo, I'm really trying to see how you are in any way contributing to this board or topic. Everything you have ranted about serves no purpose whatsoever and is really offensive and seems to be geared solely for stirring up trouble. Now, I haven't bothered to read all of your posts since they all seem pointless and just plain dumb, but could you quit with it already?

Default SF living

I live in both LA and SF and I am not a doctor...
I was born in SF...when you live somewhere...you seem to like that place....when I got my first house..it was not cheap..(I believe 130k in 1986..built in 1925-ok area in the city)....First however I had to live with my relatives and then when I got the cash...I purchased.....since I lived there..you can get ok deals..I sold it for 250k and then got another one for 380...the first house is now worth perhaps 800,000 and the second house about 1 million...Not a bad house...3 bed, nice kitchen and a pool...but yes it is expensive, but if you grow up like that..well seem normal to me...
But now I looking at buying a 4 unit in Concord NC for 130k...is Concord area, (Ann Street-NW) an ok area for renting?

Concord and Charlotte have been heavily overbuilt. In addition, there are large numbers of foreclosures. There are TONS of places to rent in Corcord and Charlotte already. Tons.

There are neighbourhoods in San Francisco that are lowering in price and houses in Visiticiaon Valley for example are less compared to Downtown San Francisco. There are some cheaper houses in parts of the South East side of San Francisco.

My boyfriend is a Phd Scientist with a 30 year history of patents and publications.. both he and i together cant afford the $6,000 per month mortgage payment of a $599,000 condo and never will... even if we could afford it. that is a rediculous amount and we wonder where people get the money??? they live in another world.. Home prices here are beyond believe. unless of course there is a trick to it that no one has let me in on..

There's a couple.

First off, San Francisco has an equity-share program for first-time homebuyers. They put down $150K, you put down 3%, and then finance the rest. Then when you sell the house, since they paid for 25% of the purchase price, they get 25% of the profits - that's if you didn't make any attempt to pay it down.

Second, the mortgage payment is not that much. In the case above, assuming even a 7% mortgage you're paying $3513 a month plus HOA.
