Just curious if you think it's worth it or not.

Depends where you would live and your commute.

Also depends on where you live now and what you make. Also... what do you want out of life? How can we answer this for you at all?

Depends on how frugal you can be if needed and if it's got upside potential. As a single I think you can live there just fine as long as you don't have grand expectations.

You left out WAY too many variables to get any kind of good responses.

Worth it??

Yes: The job offers growth potential for your career, you don't have kids, you don't plan to buy a house, you have minimal debt or bills, etc.

No: You have kids, you want to live in a decent school district, you want to buy or even rent a house, the job doesn't offer any other perk, incentive or growth opportunity, etc.

That would pretty much be the criteria for your decision.

I made about $140,000 when I moved here a year ago & a sign on bonus because I was an RNII. I love it...BUT tbh I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't because I wanted to live in the BA for other reasons....love.

Do you W A N T to live here? I have an easy job to pick up & change........so I kept telling myself if it didn't work.....I'd move again. Are you able to move easily if you didn't like your job or Sf or if you found that it was too hard to get by?

No, in fact if I did want to move back, it would take a salary double that and I would think hard before accepting. Where I would want to live homes are about a million and up and my equity here is only about $500k. That means $165,000 minimum pay
for a $500k loan, then there is the moving expense, 10% state income tax, and other costs that are higher there.

Agree OP's salary isn't worth a move, but Camaros are cheap; rather, O.P.'s salary is about half of what a Porsche 911 Turbo S will set you back.
