Being surrounded by some seedy places, it honestly wasn't that surprising.

Walnut Creek has always had quite a bit of crime.

Just wanted to know if they caught the guys.

I watched it unfold during a livestream and yeah, it's just looting. Same thing happened in San Leandro and in pockets all over East Oakland yesterday and last night.

The OP's story is from over a week ago and wasn't looting related. Last nights was of course.

Seedy places? Like where---San Ramon? Lafayette? Perhaps Pleasant Hill? lol

Last I read, they caught/arrested the guy (from Detroit) that had been shot at (and subsequently shot back). Nothing recent on the perpetrators.

I know that area.
I have been to that little strip mall a few times.
There are odd people there sometimes.
It for whatever reason looks and feels somewhat seedy or kinda yucky.
Not sure why maybe because it relatively close to all the Creekside Drive apartments.
Who knows?

I just spoke to my wife about the shooting.
She was rather shocked.
She works very close by.
She works up the hill from there at that professional office area.
She said there are several drug rehab and halfway houses in that area.
She also said a lot of homeless people live just off that nearby bike and walk trail.

I knew there was something odd or different about that area but just couldn’t put my finger on it.
Andy.
