We are leaving May 6th. Our 'stuff' is being shipped, but we're driving because of 3 dogs. Questions...best route to take? how long will it take? (our stuff won't be out there for 7 or 8 days). need to ship second vehicle, oversized jeep. Best suggestion on shippers? We don't need the vehicle right away, so it doesn't matter how long it takes to get there. We were quoted almost $2,000 to ship it with our stuff with the semi. ANY suggestions about the trip would be appreciated!

The best route would be I-80 to Sacramento and Hwy 99 (all freeway) south to Fresno. I would guess 3 days to get there. If you are driving a U-Haul truck or towing a trailer, take it easy going over the Wasatch Mtns. just east of Salt Lake City and going over the Sierras between Reno and Sacramento.
