Seems like the amount of crimes and types in SF/Oakland and the Bay Area in general have been getting much worse lately. Figured start a thread to see if others want to share stories/links.

SF resident and TV reporter robbed at gunpoint while filming story on crime

San Francisco resident Brad Tardy was preparing for an interview with KPIX-TV news reporter Don Ford Wednesday for a story on crime in his Twin Peaks neighborhood when they were robbed at gunpoint.

As they were standing at Twin Peaks Boulevard and Burnett Avenue in the middle of the afternoon, a white luxury car with four men pulled up next to them and three men hopped out, one of them holding a gun.

This type is fairly common around here though.

Another brutal attack on an elderly Asian man in San Francisco - this time, in a Nob Hill laundromat

In the KGO-obtained clip, three men notice the victim sitting on a chair by the laundromat’s entrance. They walk in. One of them kicks him and pulls him out of his chair, while another grabs him by his legs to pin him down. They search through his pockets, allegedly taking hundreds of dollars. This all takes place within a matter of seconds.

Well, when DA Chesa Boudin and the Board of Supervisors have seemed to expressly announce that property crimes WILL NEVER be charged in The City even when violence is used and even habitual offenders will not face consequences it is not surprising that the violent, thieving dregs of society took notice and upped their already impressive game.

It is no wonder that San Francisco is the property crime capital of the nation and is honestly a tragic state of affairs to what was once a world class city. It is mystifying why the leaders there seem so determined to hasten its decline.

SF is kind of an interesting social experiment now. You kind of think at some point residents would get fed up and maybe vote some new type of leaders in

"Fairly common around here" to have a luxury car roll up, and deliver 3 muggers to a street corner in broad daylight, in the middle of traffic, ready to rumble?

Hmmm......

The incident occurred after the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Board of Directors voted Tuesday to compromise on proposed changes to the traffic flow on Twin Peaks Boulevard, settling on a partially car-free option.

For a news/film crew to have their camera/equipment stolen.

Uh, yeah. When they can do so with impunity. Have you seen the countless videos and news reports of brazen street, residential and retail crimes taking place in all areas of the city and Bay Area in the middle of the day surrounded by witnesses and cameras? If such formerly criminal actions are now deemed to be not chargeable offenses why in the world would this not be taking place?

Real estate photographer robbed of camera equipment while driving in San Francisco

This one was pretty brazen and it was all caught on dash cam. The damn car was inching onto the Bay Bridge and had their back window shattered and was robbed. It's like the wild west here.

Reward offered for puppy’s safe return after violent San Francisco attack

Wonder if this is more of a CA thing because it's happened down in LA a few times now too. Can't even walk your French Bulldog in this state anymore without the risk of being assaulted.
