Hello,
My work location is in San Francisco and I am currently in East Coast. Our remote work policy has been completely lifted. I need to immediately relocate with my family of three to SF, bit worried about
my kid who will be entering into middle school coming August, she is comfortably placed in a great school here,
I am looking for an apartment specifically near a great school area, my budget is around $2500 and can extend a bit more if needed.Appreciate if someone here can please advise.

Thanks

Where, exactly, is your job? Is it in the city of SF, or elsewhere in the Bay Area? This is key information.

I would look for a new job before being forced to move to SF

It’s in the city of SF near Embarcadero BART station

3 people should fit into a studio apartment just fine. Buy bunk beds.

Can you get a job on the East Coast, so you don't have to move? I used to live in San Francisco & it is not the best place for a family. Rents are also very expensive.

Way back in the early 70's I worked in San Francisco near the Embarcadero BART station for a brief period of time.

Take a look at the BART routes, and pick an area that is easily accessed by BART. My pick would be Concord or Walnut Creek, or Livermore.

Simply because of better weather. The Bay Area is famous for micro-climates. And while the word "micro" implies small changes in weather, they are huge in the Bay Area.

Outlier...does the ferry still run from Marin to the waterfront?? That would also be a choice.

You don't want to live in San Francisco with kids.

My son-in-law and his family lived in San Francisco with their son. They didn't have any problems except for the exorbitant cost of childcare. Their son is in school now so they moved to Daly City and got a smallish house for 900k, they are very happy with the Daly City Schools. There are houses and apartments available for $2500 in several parts of the bay area, but some are probably too small even though they advertise 2 bedrooms.

Try Zillow or one of the other real estate sites to see what's available. Here's a 2 bdrm house 35 Liebig St, San Francisco, CA 94112, it's in the outer mission and is $2600 a month. I don't know if I can post a link from a real estate site here but google the address and you should be able to see the listing.

Sorry I was not clear with my question. I don’t intend to live in the San Francisco city , exploring other areas in close proximity to SF with decent public schools as well as public transportation such as BART. Thanks Walnut Creek seems to fit the bill but I need to explore if rents are within my budget

There are apartments in the town of Lafayette on 2nd street that might suit your needs.
The schools are top notch there, BART is a 15 minute walk away and the town is quaint.
