Like is more guys gay then not? Young people I mean (under 35).

And is there girls in this city? or a disproportionate amount of men because of all the gay people that move to SF?

Also are the straight people there mostly metrosexuals? Or is there just regular guys like there is where I am from in New Jersey.

Based on news stories what I've read, perhaps 15% of the city's population is gay. So the answer to your rather strange question is surely "no."

By the way, Boston, Minneapolis and Atlanta are among the non-West Coast cities at +12%.

See Oakland on the list? Part of that is Mills College, which is an all-female school and as a result definitely a lesbian enclave. But there are also plenty of gay men in Temescal, Uptown, Rockridge, etc. because the rents in SF have gotten way too high - never mind a family, not even two income earners sharing an apartment can afford it anymore!

Many places are "gay" now. It seems to be that there are places where gay is okay and places where it's not. Among communities that are open to it, I haven't noticed a wide spectrum of gay intensity.

I think a better question is HOW does it matter? Are you asking because it worries you, or are you just curious? And FYI - a high number of gay men works in your favor (as a straight guy), because there's less competition. And yes, there are plenty of women here... LOL.

Wherever you go, you bring yourself, your attitudes, biases, etc ... my point in saying "does it matter" ... is that in a metropolitan area of millions of people, if you are sincerely looking for a relationship with a person, the fact that a small percentage of the population happens to be gay need not have an adverse impact on your search for love. Take care.

It matters to me because my friends are all just regular guys. Not metrosexuals or anything like that. And I would like to remain freinds with the same type of person

Well, that sounds rather boring... why would you want friends who are all the same? Your choice, but I think you'll be missing out on some pretty cool people! And what is a "regular guy" anyway? One of my brothers is gay, and he's a fairly normal guy - whatever that means.
