How can I get the crime report on property I am buying here in Bay area. I called the Police station but they did not disclose it since it's the law in CA. Is that true? where can I find it?

I don't know of a way to get crime stats on a particular property or actual neighborhood, but here is a way to get demographics and crime stats on a city or community.

Here is the CA sex offender registry website. You can find out about the number, names, and type of offender that live in/near a particular area.

Search California Registered Sex Offenders- California Dept. of Justice - Office of the Attorney General

Does this help?

You didn't mention what city... Oakland maintains an extensive neighborhood crime report online through the City's Website.

Just put in a street address of cross streets, how large a radius and how far back you would like to search.

Oh well...just keep your car keys in the ignition and your door open. The burglars won't know what to think of that. Just act like a cop and no one will touch your stuff. If you bolt your windows and put up iron bars in the window. The riff-raff will know you got to have something good in there and you are afraid. Ripley
