I have lived in Hayward/Union City approx. 35 yrs. My work also took me to other areas around the State and in this Country, so I have full appreciation of both benefits and limitations. I love this city/area. There're crimes, and the school could be better, maybe I've been lucky.

If you have doubt, at sunset tonight...look West beyond 92. Go to the wildlife refuge, find a quiet spot, enjoy Hayward w/ a view of the Peninsula,...the sunset, and the Bay. I know nothing about the Chamber of Commerce and what they represent. I have struggle as much as the next person...just sharing my perspectives.

And we now know why you love Hayward so much. There is no difference between Hayward, Fremont, Union City, Castro Valley, etc in regards to the sunset.

No it isn't.

Hayward has more Asians than blacks, and twice as many Hispanics as both groups combined.

Except for the crime stats don't agree.

Do you just not like living around black people?

wtf? are you high or what? hayward doesn't have many black people. it's mostly Latin-Americans, East and South Asians, and Middle Easterners running around there.

lolz. i actually moved into a city that has more black people than hayward. it's not that. i got tired of living in a ghetto ****hole (and I'm Mexican-American; the majority of hayward looks like me). Hayward doesn't look like the place when i grew up there in the 1990s and early 2000s.
