My wife may have a job opportunity in the Sunnyvale or Santa Clara areas. We current live in the Long Beach area so we understand the California housing prices. We are interested in finding lesbian & family friendly neighborhoods up that way that would not leave with a long & stressful commute. But being in a nice and friendly area is very important to us. We would ideally be looking for something with restaurants and somethings to walk to nearby. But we also would like a little more room, a yard for our doggies to enjoy and room for out door living. We would love to find 2/3 bed, 2 bath, living & game room. We would like to find place ideally in $400,000’s (of course lower would be great, but under $500,000 for sure.) We understand we might not be right next to everything with out wish list so space but would love to be near public transportation and other entertainment.
We have been looking at housing on line but have now idea of the neighborhoods. So please what are some nice lesbian friendly areas, in the Santa Clara area or reasonable commute. With lots of stuff to do close by, room for dogs under $500,000.

You shouldn't start new threads on essentially the same subject- just add on to the first thread you started.

Anyways, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara are all nice, reasonably safe middle class suburban towns. This area isn't really "walkable"; you'll need a car for restaurants, shopping, etc.

As for a 2/3 bed 2 bath house, I don't think $400K or even $500 will be enough. Housing prices in Silicon Valley haven't gone down all that much compared to other areas.
