I just recently got a new job offer in another state. I have 6 months on my apartment lease. My apartment manager said I have to find someone to take over my apartment. SO I made a posting for all the details that I am responsible for and now the apartment manager said the details will change.

She is not informing me of the asking price of the apartment or if the garage I have will be included in the new lease. The price and the garage are very important leasing features. Without this information I cannot successfully show the apartment to serious people.

Can the apartment manager withhold this information when I show the apartment. I will never find someone if I cannot discuss these details. Also, is the any information available on tenant right when they are being relocated to another state?

The only exception I know is for active duty combat military under the soldiers and sailors relief act.

The Owner has a duty to mitigate the loss should you move before the lease is up... Sounds like to are cooperating with her request so I don't know what else you can do.

If you just move... you will be responsible for the costs to re-rent and lost rent... If the unit rents for more than your paying it would seem that could be used as an offset for any monies you owe.

Did you ask for a dollar amount to buy out your lease. Typically, 2 to 3 months rent is what I've seen... although management is not under any obligation to do that.
