do you know if the meter maid can give tickets if the parking meter is missing and they put a round cap over the pipe? looks like they need to replace the meter and took the old one off?

I would park there but dont want to take any chances on getting a ticket

the street has one hour parking meters in the Tenderloin SF, near the corner of Post and Jones street

In my experience no.

But nowadays many of the areas that don't have meters have payboxes where you insert money in exchange for a receipt that you put on your dashboard.

I think they can give you a ticket if a meter is supposed to be there. If it was removed because they now have a pay station then no. I've gotten tickets for parking at "broken" meters before.

thats why I didnt park there, I heard they could say it's illegal parking and write a ticket.

sometimes they even give tickets if your wheels are not turned the right way if your parked on an incline.

Wait...you mean to tell me that they give tickets if you don't follow the law and curb your wheels correctly?
