Can anyone point me to some stores in San Francisco that carry compostable garbage bags? I didn't see any at Safeway or Costco. I'm looking for 13 gallon tall kitchen bags. Thanks!

Don't shop around. I use the compostable bags sold by eco Greenwares. They are the highest quality, and offered at the most competitive pricing. Please visit them at Biodegradable Cups, Biodegradable Containers, Biodegradable Utensils, Sugarcane Plates

The old bags they used to use in grocery stores (but are now banned) were actually biodegradable (and somewhat compostable).

They made good garbage bags (as in reduce, recycle, REUSE).

Ah, the law of unintended consequences.
