To the OP - Just wait until you spend 2 years here, then go back to NYC....people will think YOU are SOFT lol. Also people say the same thing about New Yorkers being rude, obnoxious and impolite.

I have lived in both NYC and SF, I'd say each takes time to get used to depending on which direction you are going in.

everyone here's the same
everything here sucks
life here is miserable

wah wah wah

I hate it I hate it I hate it

blah blah blah fricken blah

Only thing that's all the same are these idiot threads that stereotype a metropolitan area of millions of people down to a second-grade intelligence level. I've lived in many other areas of the country before moving here, and I believe these posts invariably say more about the poster than they do about the people who live here.

Baydude and Donald should become roommates; they apparently have much in common.

^^^Well you have to understand, everyone* in NYC is trying to be tough (unless they* are in Chelsea or on Christopher/Hudson then they are soft). They also all* try to speak with an Italian accent, that is really annoying.

*was that a good enough generalization for you?

And how much would you be willing to bet? I ask that question seriously. Pm me or respond in this thread. I'll tell you what, If I can't prove I live in the Bay and actually come from the bay area, I'll paypal you $100. Lets see if you'll put your money where your mouth is.

(Lets see if he actually takes the bet lol).

Why do you New Yorkers think you're so tough? Keyword, Think. Is it because you think talking in that wanna be mafioso exaggerated nasally accent gives you street cred or something? People get killed here just like they do anywhere else.

This whole thread intrigues me. If Bay Area people are soft then San Diegans are made of Jello! LOL

OP, where do you live? I think the Bay Area differs a decent amount from city to city so I'd probably limit your complaints mostly to the area you're currently living.

I won't disagree with much of your assessment - SF/parts of the Bay can be pretty irritating at times, but I'd also mention that making statements like "this is so gay" is probably something you should have grown out of by say, age eleven. How about using an adult vocabulary now? Don't worry, SF folks will probably have a problem with that too.
