My bathtub is cracked and I would like to replace it. Will I have to obtain a city permit?

I will not be cutting or removing any piping. I will be just taking out the tub and putting in a new one.

Also I plan to remove the kitchen sink cabinet and install some counter tile.

Will I need a permit for this as well?

Thanks.

In my city... yes to both questions...

The only way to know for sure is to check with the building department having jurisdiction in your area.

Unless the tub is a duplicate of the one you have... the plumbing will need at least minor modification.
