Hi, I no longer have insurance and I'm looking for a new doctor to see in the city. But I'm looking for a "lax" type of doctor. I've been dieting and working out forever but I still can't drop the weight I want. Do you know of a doctor that is more willing to prescribe??

The best advice that I can give- is to read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" (and any other book by Michael Pollan). You won't need a doctor or a diet or a pill. It's not a book about losing weight/exercise/diets or meds at all... It's about learning where the food in America comes from and how it's produced...so fascinating and it's really the only way to health, imo..knowing what food actually is and making choices with the knowledge you have.
