What a twist.

Rail groups: Altamont or lawsuit

Am I a visionary(LOL) or what? I knew this would happen.

The Altamont Pass was always the best choice. Plus the state estimates the East Bay and Central Valley Corridor will grow by 8 Million people in the coming decades.

The absurdly costly train from nowhere to nowhere, carrying no paying customers

Not a lot of business travel between SV and LA regions, let alone btwn dwntwn SF and DLA: look where suburban offices of major cos. are located; migrant workers in CentralValley or homeless travelers in SF and DLA likely aren't economically rational reasons for mass transit

And suspect most taxpayers drive from suburbs of SV to suburbs of LA/Irvine if want to visit for personal reasons

Inconvenient truths for the unions seeking to scam taxpayers...

Oh, is that why there are 35 flights a day from SFO to LAX? Get real.

13 United/US Airways
7 Virgin
5 Alaska
10 Continental

And that's not even counting the ones into other nearby airports..

Like the outer east bay isn't going to raise the same stink...

Oh, and **** central valley sprawl. This isn't commuter rail. That's what BART is for.
