So I'm currently looking into two different real estate/property management companies to rent apartments from. Unfortunately, one has pretty terrible reviews on yelp and the other has no rating at all. To be honest, I'm a little bit intimidated now. I'm seeing a lot of comments on how a lot of leasing companies will do what they can to rip you of your money.

If anyone can offer any input about these two companies, I'd really appreciate it. Or if you can recommend any other group to look into, I'd love to hear it.

I'm currently looking into the inner sunset area of SF, for 1 bedrooms/studios. The general impression I'm getting is that most of the nicer, more professional leasing companies don't handle that area.

The two companies are:
Hill & Company Real Estate: Hill & Company - Marina/Cow Hollow - San Francisco, CA

Consolidated Realty Services (located on 2323 Noriega Street)

I'm going to be a grad student at UCSF and I'm really afraid that I'm going to get taken advantage of. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
