Precisely my point! People over here think 55 degree, foggy, cloudy weather is the best way to permanently avoid warm summers. They have no clue how much outdoor fun you can have in warm weather. The worst thing is they will keep harping that somehow SF summer is the best while they sit in their homes with the heating cranked up! No wonder this gets depressing..

Ok but the thing is, just because it may be foggy and cool in SF does not mean it's like that everywhere else. A short trip to the east bay or Pen and it's sunny and warm. Even downtown is usually sunny when the rest of SF is not.

besides that 55 is a winter high, not a summer high.

it might just be you.

I'll take Miami in January, not July.
And sure, San Diego and LA weather trumps ANYWHERE....

I dont get the criticism because in the coastal regions of California there are so many micro climates that can suit anyone within extremely short distances, and have you been to San Jose?

And what would I do in San Jose?

Why would I even ever set foot in San Jose?

To most people yeah. It's still all relative and I find the summers in SD a bit uncomfortable.

SD summers are not fun. Prefer Spring season.

Yes, winter and spring are my favorite times here. Summer certainly isn't.
