Texas developer plans nearly 500 units in Oakland but locals want to save historic coffee shop

Oy. I'd love for Biffs to be saved too, but it's been abandoned for decades. How about some of the defenders come up with a business plan.

I know. It's been abandoned for 30+ years! THIRTY PLUs years. That is 30+ years. It is only an eyesore. Level it and rebuild!!! Oakland needs more housing of ALL kinds.

Oakland condo prices shoot up 17% as supply dwindles
