I went to go take a look. Nice, practical layouts. The gym was mini, but it is a much better price/value ratio than the other nearby new buildings. It should do well. Way better than Broadway Grand.

[LEFT]The developers are hoping to secure the final approvals for the project from the Oakland Planning Commission on Wednesday.

The first phase involves a 480-stall parking garage with 5,200 square feet of ground-floor retail, site clean up and infrastructure for the entire development, which includes paving of two new streets.

A team comprised of Bridge Housing and McGrath Properties joined forces as master developers of the site which is slated for up to 675 residential units, including 108 affordable units, and 42,500 square feet of neighborhood-serving retail and commercial space.

Hurrah! I was waiting for this project. This is an ideal location for TOD. In between existing good neighborhoods and/or up and coming neighborhoods.

Yup. This project will be a terrific midpoint between Uptown and Temescal. I am extremely pleased by this development.

Speaks volumes about the state of the economy that so many of these projects are coming back to life.

Hmm...could be neat. There are some cool new condos in the Temescal I think around 40th or 42nd near Shafter...wherever that new Homeroom place is. But paying mucho dinero for a condo right next to the highway would be kinda lame. Though honestly you can hear highway and BART noise pretty much anywhere in Rockridge and the Temescal, it's one of the few things I don't like about Oakland.
