How much does a mid-market MLB ball park run these days? We don't need a 40k seat stadium....

This location would be a SWEEEET place for my Athletics to play!

a smaller ball park next to brooklyn basin is the superior choice. it would be great for the dining establishments in jack london square and the basin development. the other site is not as advantageous .

i guess if the chinese can do it better and cheaper it will put the local guys out of business

A $1.7 billion deal with China Development Corp., the Chinese national railway and Lennar Corp. to construct 12,500 homes on the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco and a string of high-rises on Treasure Island has collapsed.
Sources familiar with the deal tell us the effort, more than a year in the making, fell apart over demands by the Chinese for more control over the development than Lennar was willing to give.

KronnerBurger Flagship

Quote:
Confirming long-reported rumors, burger maestro Chris Kronner said he’s actively seeking to expand KronnerBurger — currently a permanent pop-up restaurant that shares a space with the San Francisco nightclub Bruno’s — to Oakland.

Kronner, who lives in Oakland, told me he’s currently considering two locations on Broadway, one in Temescal and the other Uptown. Either spot would house a full, stand-alone restaurant and bar, not a pop-up.

Inside Scoop SF » Blue Bottle Coffee inks a new Oakland location, in the historic W.C. Morse building

Someone's finally going to get some use out of that beautiful building. Hopefully they do well and add some sort of anchor to that stretch of Broadway. There isn't too much in a coffee shop that the little hooligans from Tech can steal.

This is awesome news. Every time I pass that building I am disappointed it is so underutilized. Such a weird patch of broadway.
