Which is an easier work commute

From Berkeley to Sacramento or,
From Berkeley to San Jose?

Sacramento, no question. 880 is purgatory.

Berkly to San Jose is better
101 is awful, but 280 is quick and hardly ever busy.

I woun't go twords Sac, you'll hit traffic in Vacaville, then again on the Yolo Causeway and then again in Downtown Sac.

Going between Berkeley and San Jose or Berkeley and Sac, you will not use 101 or I-280 - which sounds like a San Francisco - San Jose routing on the Peninsula.

I suppose Bay Bridge to 101 to 280 could be done, but why? From Berkeley to San Jose, the fastest and shortest route would be 24/980 to 880. It's about 50 miles of horrendous traffic. Berkeley to Sacramento is a longer commute of 75 miles with a bridge toll, but it's a reverse commute, pretty much equal in terms of time and much less stressful.
