I'm needing to move to a studio or a 1 bedroom apartment, but the deal is I need to have Uverse. I do not like comcast and their network management cap. I share a lot of HD video with friends so i have to move to a place will allow UVerse so I can get fast fiber speeds without any cap. Can someone suggest apartments anywhere around the bay that has UVerse?

So far, I've been able to find Archstone in South San Francisco, but their 1BR is $1730... that's a bit too unreasonable for our pocket book. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If Los Gatos would work for you, then you can get Verizon's FiOS there. Some parts of San Jose have Uverse - I live across the street from a fiber node now. When I lived in South SF it was not an option, but that was in 2007. To be honest $1730 is not high for a new apartment there, though I've heard the Archstone in SSF has a lot of income-qualified tenants who have turned the place into a bit of a war zone rather quickly.

You do realize that the legal fees you might end up paying for "sharing your HD video with friends" might negate the cost of the apartment right? If you're going to get sued, you might as well go for the $1730 1BR. It will be insignificant compared to the $100,000 or more that you'll pay if you get caught "sharing". At the very least, a smart provider might cut you off when they realize what's going on.

not that its any of your business anyway, but maybe you should ask for details of what the content of the video is before posting something that automatically assumes im doing something illegal. i didnt know recording my own car races at an RC car track and sharing them with the club im involved in was illegal. in fact its not. i didnt know making custom airbrushed car body videos was illegal... wait... its not. the list continues... and the same applies.

Oh, I'll admit it, my bad. I shouldn't have assumed anything. But I work in the IT world and 99% of folks asking that question are into sharing illegal content.

I sure could use some help finding an apartment anywhere in the bay that will allow the installation of uverse or fios. that would be great.
