I am an IT consultant that moves around from area to area depending on where the jobs/ money are. There are quite a few opportunities available in the Fremont/ San Jose/ Santa Clara area's. I would be moving with my husband and 11 year old daughter.

My daughter is into horseback riding (English style) and my husband and I just like to be outside in the sunshine doing just about anything. We are looking for feedback on these areas to help us decide if this will be a good fit for us, or if I should hold out for jobs in another part of CA (recommendations welcome!!).

Thank you for any insight you can provide!

My daughter rides English and there are plenty of barns with English riding, and quite a few shows of various levels for competition all over the hills along the South Bay. She happens to ride in Portola Valley.

Not sure what you are asking ... is Fremont/Santa Clara/San Jose a "good fit" for you? As long as you find employment, I don't see why not.

In your previous posts, you said you are a nurse, not an IT consultant, and are looking at SoCal: Best walking communities in southern CA

... so which is it?
