Mechanic referrals in the San Jose area for old Nissan truck work (low income)

I have a 93 Nissan pickup and I'm recently relocated to San Jose. For the record, I'm a low income senior.

I live in the Rose Garden/Valley Fair Mall area of San Jose.

My old pickup is due for a tune-up and I have an after-market air conditioner kit I'd like to get installed into it , hopefully within the next year.

So, I'm in the market for a mechanic who can handle working on old Japanese vehicles, and someone who is resourceful enough to trouble-shoot and deal with putting an aftermarket a/c kit, etc., and who I can trust not to take advantage of an old lady (although, I'm no pushover).

Thanks for any referrals. I'm willing to drive a ways, but hopefully not too far, as I'd have to pay for a ride home (if they don't provide one), if I need to leave it overnight.
