You're just saying the same **** with different words at this point. Behind Kaval, the organizationis infinitely better run than Colorado, Dallas and even Chicago. Those clubs may have new venues but they're still more akin to Kraft/Revs in terms of not giving a **** about outreach to fans.

This is what happens when a New Yawkah starts flaming about CA culture.

Wherefore does one derive the idea that SJ has a dispassionate fanbase? Shall we ask the owners of the other Bay Area pro teams what percentage of their sales and bodies showing up for games come from the South Bay? [Hint: Biggest market in the area.] Same goes for soccer. The fact that people will put up with POS Buck Shaw and regularly sell the place out speaks volumes about the demand to see the team. It won't take much prodding from the FO to fill the new one, and it's been proven they can promote their brand quite well, and they will have great incentive to do so with the new stadium. There are already plenty of billboards all over the place, and construction hasn't even started yet.

We've heard this stuff before. Somebody had the foolish idea of building the San Jose Arena, thinking anybody down here would ever go to a hockey game. Nonsense, could never happen. Nobody cares about hockey.

SJ Sharks 2011-2012 attendance: 17,562

HP Pavilion capacity: 17,562

SJ Earthquakes get a new stadium, also a foolish idea. Nobody in SJ would ever go to a soccer match. Nonsense, could never happen. Nobody cares about soccer.

If New Yawk hadn't wrecked the NASL in the first place, the Quakes would be on the Sharks's footing right now. This market is twice-spoiled, and yet still we persist.

Hell, we lost our team and got it back faster than Cleveland and the Browns.

2010 avg attendance: 9,659. Weren't sold out of a little stadium every game. Sure blame the team quality- that's easy but with LA, Seattle, and Salt Lake in the same conference, what assurance does anyone have that the Quakes are good by 2014?

The real test of a fan base's passion is that the place sells out when the team is mediocre. Warriors qualify there- wouldn't sell out if the SF money weren't readily accessible; doubtful the Silicon Valley suburban fan base does.

Buck Shaw Stadium capacity: 10,525

For a crappy 2010 team, with a stat that also includes Wed. games, that ave. attendance figure ain't too bad. Why are we talking about 2010, anyway?

Do feel free to join the Casbah, especially since we only know we'll have our own section for one more year. We'll have more negotiating clout with more numbers, and our tailgate rules (thank Club Quake for that)
I'll be taking you up on this offer, guy. Don't wanna be absorbed into the Ultras regime.

Just heard that the Casbah will be at midfield at tomorrow's opener (Sunday, March 3, 7:00) presenting the Supporter's Shield trophy to the team before kickoff.

2013 season is here, construction on the Epicenter going on, team's coming off a record season, MVP Chris Wondolowski has just been resigned as a DP. What's not to like? Oh, yeah, supporters' groups tailgates across the street from BS by the Quakes FO offices before matches, and gatherings after matches at The Hut and Jack's.
