How do I find crime statistics and maps for cities that aren't reporting to crimereports.com? For instance, San Carlos PD website links to crimereports.com, yet there are no crimes in the entire city on that site. Same thing for Belmont. They appear to be islands of tranquility surrounded by RWC and San Mateo (both of those cities' police depts are reporting their stats).

I have a hard time with crimereports.com, too. Nothing happens. I'm wondering if there's a window that's supposed to pop up, and my pop-up blocker is stopping it?

Anyway, I like http://spotcrime.com

Who knows if all crimes are reported or how often, but it does list crimes that happened, so it's not totally worthless.

Many departments at the very least release statistics and post them on their websites, they may also release periodic reports detailing crime in each zone/beat.
