Really?

You ask where to get a map, tell us you're old coots, and people nicely take the time to tell you where you can get a map. Then, you basically tell them they're idiots for not reading your mind that you already checked where any of us would go first.

That was really snotty and ungrateful of you. THAT is a fact.

I just picked the first link, they break them out by county too. The last bay area one i got was about $30. They were sold at the office supply stores too. Poke around. There are likely other editions for cheaper!

...or you could just join the rest of the 21st century and use your choice of many very accurate GPS and/or software based mapping-based systems that are available to you. It's 2014. Jeez, even at my ripe young age of 34, paper maps were the norm when I learned how to drive. They are obsolete now and I've since moved on. Embrace technology. It's (for the most part) your friend.

Our kid used to love poring over paper maps, we would get them at Barnes & Noble, and I ordered a couple on Amazon as well. Safeway used to carry them and when we inquired there they redirected us to the local AAA.
SFO (the airport) hands out paper maps for free as well.
