Hi ,

I really require help regarding used car.

Today, I have seen Toyota Corolla-LE (2007) very nice and clean car, I took test drive runs nice.

I went to mechanic shop and he also told me car is in very good condition like brand new batter, tires etc.

I have generated autocheck report and found No Accident but when i generated carFax then found "Damage
Reported" and "Mileage Inconsistency"

Here is details of carfax :-
----------------

I asked to owner and he told me that someone hit the car from back and he replaced the bumper. But car having clean title and no accident.

Please give me suggestion, should i buy this car ? He is demanding Excellent condition price as per blue book because he is still saying car having no accident and he is only first owner of car and car in excellent condition. Please reply ASAP.

Thanks!!!

As dbrubs1975 says, forget this car and find another. There are a lot of cars available, so you can afford to walk away if anything is amiss. You have reservations, listen to your gut instincts. They area rarely wrong.

OP, please run away from this car. Don't walk! Mileage on the car makes no sense at all. In one year it added about 30K in miles in just one year, then rest of years are maybe 10-12K miles. This isn't good. It would be a big mistake to buy this car.

Carfax and any other "online car verification services" are completely worthless. WORTHLESS-- they only way you can ever know if a car was smashed and rebuilt using 4 other cars and loaded with fake Chinese Counterfeit airbags is to have a mechanic you know inspect it using a lift and their eyes.

Many years ago, I worked at a shop that would remove airbags from customers cars if they were a55holes to the technicians, knowing full well that they could never get caught for it.

Thanks for all. I am not buying this car because of damage and mileage inconsistency in report and seller still asking Excellent condition price as per kbb.

That's beyond messed up. I understand not liking someone...but that's terrible.

Why anyone is replying to an 8-month old thread (and with no useful information, most importantly) is beyond me. Let it go, folks - he isn't going to buy the car.
