Hello, I need to get to San Fran airport from Sunnyvale. I was wondering what the best/easiest option is. I'm not too familiar with cal train. If my flight is at 9:30pm, what time should I get on Caltrain and how long would it take to get to the airport? Also do I need to transfer or is it a direct shot?

If I don't take cal train I'm considering a shuttle. So far I've been quoted about 70 dollars one way. Does anyone have any experience with a reliable and cheaper shuttle service?

Thanks in advance!

Weekday or weekend?

Schedules

has the schedule. You have to take BART from Milbrae to SFO. But I suggest take Caltrain to Milbrae and then a cab to SFO (may be $10).

Thanks. My flights in a Tuesday at 9:30pm. How long should I expect Caltrain to take and is it busy at night?

No not busy at that time. Take the ~7pm train from Sunnyvale and reach Millbrae ~8pm. Taxi will reach SFO at 8:15pm.

If you want to play it safe, take the previous train at ~6pm from Sunnyvale and reach Millbrae at 6:45pm, reach SFO at 7pm.
