Having said that, both SD and SJ downtowns both have easy airport access and public transit options. The only thing that downtown SJ has over SD is that it is actually a major employment center. Downtown SD high rises are mostly hotels and condos. SD has much larger employment centers in La Jolla and Sorrento Valley.
So is Downtown SJ in terms of hotels and condos but also has office/employment, too. That's the difference. It also has attractions like Tech Museum, San Pedro Sq. and SoFA market and art district. SJ state is also downtown which keeps it active.

San Jose is much more lively than that sleept suburb of LA known as San Diego. Plus San Jose has waaaay better winter weather and access to the water than San Diego. Plus there is Spartan stadium close by which puts the Padres to shame. And don't forget the Target in downtown San Jose. I bet down town san diego doesn't even have a target!

Another case in point: Bogdetta restaurant is a slew of restaurants that have just failed in East Village of Downtown SD. The owner say, if people are to eat in San Diego, they're going to go to North Park and Little Italy to eat. Otherwise, Hillcrest and North County are the places people go for dining/entertainment. The difference in Dt. San Jose: San Pedro and SoFA are current region's hot spot for dining and entertainment with very few closure but more openings. Downtown SJ works and Downtown SD is facing trial and tribulations.

I would take DTSD any day of the week and Sunday over DTSJ.

Just ignore "the topper". Seriously.

If you want a laugh, though, go look at his posting history.

They are pure comedy, much like this thread. The biggest homers in the world aren’t as delusional as him, he has to be doing it for a reaction. If he’s not, then bless his heart.
