Downtown San Jose is on fire!!!! TMG is about to break ground on 1.2 millions sq. ft of office space. Sobrato just broke ground on 6 story class A office for county, and Adobe will break ground early next year. We're not even talking about Google, which has about bought all its land for corporate high rise campus downtown. Boston Property is applying to build all 3 towers downtown. Residential front: Miro 2 28 story towers are under construction, Graduate apartment 19 story tower is also under construction. Parkview two towers are underway, too, with the restoration of a church. Numerous mid rises are under construction downtown. Several hotels have opened up lately and another will be underway very shortly. A whole lot of high rise and mid rise projects are in the pipeline. So many restaurants/nightlife is opening downtown. Downtown SJ is too hot now!

Your relentlessly never-ending San Jose-boosting posts are just getting ridiculous. Most people on this board (and in other forums) are probably getting pretty tired of it. It's impossible to tell if you actually believe what you're saying or if you're really just trolling.

I like plenty of things about San Jose and have strong roots there. I don't feel the need to create millions of threads and posts to convince myself or others that it really is a decent place.

...and for the record, I love San Diego.

For the topper, San Jose could literally be on fire and still be better than Manhattan.

Probably some latchkey political assignment to the economic development office that believes this=helping.

Downtown SJ is a roaring success, and Downtown SD is a failure: Horton Pl. failed. C Street transit mall failed. Seaport Village is obsolete and awaiting demo. Convention Center is struggling and desperately in need of expansion and awaiting for one. Petco Park attendance is disappointing. East Village is struggling as result of restaurants closing and homeless people. Am I wrong here? If so explain.

Downtown SJ: convention center is profitable. arena attendance is decent, two public markets thriving, transit mall is clean and spiffy with thriving businesses, and Tech museum is doing well. Almost nothing is doing poorly downtown.

Downtown SJ is a slum and getting more run-down by the minute. Don't fall for this guy's antics, actually visit there (make sure to roll up the windows and lock the doors) and you'll see the truth.

Downtown SD today is akin to Downtown SJ in 1998: thriving but the only black eye being the Pavilion. Dt. San Diego, thriving but several black eyes: Horton Plaza, C street transit mall and East Village woes.

Today; Downtown San Jose has moved on: Pavilion is a server farm with retail on the outside. Downtown is experiencing boom all around: offices, hotels and housing.

To see which downtown is better and or nicer: visit both downtown and be the judge for yourselves.
