So guys, lately I've noticed that some of the bus routes I take regularly in Silicon Valley on VTA have wifi.

Apparently this is a service they intend to place on ALL of their transit vehicles:

WIFI on VTA

This is a good development, I hope they keep it up!

Light Rail already has wifi. I hope they can get it set up on Caltrain at some point.

Well, they have had Wi-Fi on Light Rail and their express buses for several years. Now they are finally implementing it on the regular routes.

I wish that they get wifi sooner on Longer routes such as Rapid 522. Limited line 323 as well as long local lines such as line 22 which runs articulated buses on what is now the busiest bus line in the valley.

Though the original posters "VTA now has light rail on some regular (non express buses)" kind of reminds me that VTA's light rail system's expansion had resulted in many local bus lines that were once the life line of certain neighborhoods eliminated. I remember about 10 years ago before the East Capital extension was running one could ride line 74 between Eastridge transit center to Great Mall main transit center but once it was built the line was eliminated which meant some neighborhoods it served now need to make multiple bus connections to get where they are going. And if one wants to go to north capital avenue and great mall parkway from Eastridge or capital expressway or vice versa they will need to change between light rail and bus to do so increasing travel time.
