Nobody wants to come to Downtown San Jose because of all those homeless people, lots of violence/fights and not offering a lot for its residents.

No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded.

There a lot of violence downtown with fights everywhere at night. San Jose still qualify as a world class city because, whether people want to come or not, it still has a downtown.

"A lot of your friends" and "Nobody" are two different things.

So, you've now gone from San Jose's biggest supporter to this?

FYI, downtown San Jose is actually much better than it used to be when I was growing up. It's safer and has a lot more entertainment options. Downtown used to attract more rif-raf than it does now. As far back as I can remember, all the thugs and gangbangers/gangbanger wannabes migrated from the East Side every weekend to cruise down Santa Clara St. or go clubbing. This is nothing new.

Every time I've been to downtown SJ in recent years, I've noticed a much more mixed crowd than there was when I was younger.

Your threads are all over the place and seem to be getting more and more bizarre and contradictory.

It's not just me: Ross Dress For Less, and Camera theater closed due to lack of people coming downtown. Recent development which got me off guard. San Jose is not alone in this situation. San Diego is having similar problem, too.

Well, that is what happens to wanna-be 'world class cities' that just don't provide world-class entertainment.
