David, this thread has made more nonsensical pivots than a showman tech entrepreneur. None of which have a chance at turning into something meaningful.

it's Silicon Valley. It's where you go to innovate a future technology. Austin is where you go for an early scale up. Szenjen is where you go to reverse manufacture and copy.

We are built for design. I don't think I can list why things happen here and not elsewhere to anywhere near the scale, but for some reason it does. If I'm 24 months out from the next monster hit....why would I put it anywhere else?

A recession that wipes out some of the zombies clinging on that need to go only frees up more space and talent for the next crop of amazing ideas.

More predictions of the death of Silicon Valley.

Inside The End Of Silicon Valley's Dynasty (msn.com)

"The Silicon Valley tech industry employs 583,300 people, with half of those working for one of the region's 25 largest technology companies, ... with the 15 largest companies employing 35% of tech workers, and 20% of the workforce having positions at just five companies based in the region. The market cap of Silicon Valley companies reached $14 trillion in December 2021, and over $95 billion in venture capital was invested that same year. . One day we will have a recession and this poster will say "see, I was right". What he will neglect to tell you was that out of his 100 claims, he was wrong on 99 of them. You know the saying "even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then"?

The Silicon Valley isn't going anywhere. But I was hoping someone could direct me to where I can find the silicone valley?

Google to Slow Hiring for Rest of Year, Alphabet CEO Says

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...r-rest-of-year

"Historically, Google has remained relatively immune to the economic dips of the technology sector. The internet giant paused hiring after the financial crisis more than a decade ago, but has since regularly added waves of new employees for its main advertising business as well as areas such as smartphones, self-driving cars and wearable devices that aren’t yet profitable."

Article is pro-tech propaganda but some interesting points.

The techies we wanted to go away have – and it's our loss:

"And it’s not just that young tech workers aren’t coming here. Many are also leaving. Egan found U.S. Census data shows the number of tech workers under 40 who left San Francisco from 2019-2020 was double what it was from 2012-2013."
