Haven't read the link, frankly, but if it's trying to say that SJ needs a big, complicated airport like SF and the like, no thanks. I like how lightning fast it is to get in and get out when dropping someone off or picking them up. Simple loop from entrance to terminal to exit, simple signage, small simple terminals. I can be in and out of there in 1/4th the time of SFO or PHX.

Interesting I heard some Japanese airports are built this way on infill land even though earthquakes and liquefaction are a real threat in Japan. Yet we have yet to hear about an airport sinking or falling apart due to it but there were neighborhoods and viaducts that did collapse due to liquid faction in the 1995 Kobe earthquake.
