Hi everyone! I might have an opportunity to work over at Google in Mountain View. The job may require me to work from 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm. I live in south San Jose, Tully and McLaughlin. What would be the best way to get to Mountain View during those 2 peak morning time frames? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Driving : 101 North is a straight shot from San Jose to Mountain View. Only way to ease the driving commute would be to have HOV carpool or get an electric vehicle for those HOV carpool decals.

Eligible Vehicles:

Look into taking Caltrain from Tamien Station to Mountain View Station.

If you're not in a rush and want to enjoy the smells of San Jose, take VTA.
Curtner Station -> Tasman Station (Transfer) -> Downtown Mountain View Station.

In addition, Google should have an in-house shuttle service that you can take advantage of once you sign on.

You'll be going in the primary commute direction. If you can move to Mt view or Palo Alto you'll save 1-2 hours of driving per day.

Do you work at Google or near Google? if "at", my advice is to use Google shuttle service. They count time spent in bus as working hours.
